It’s important that we all pay attention to the seemingly harmless actions we take that go unnoticed simply because they are so prevalent. It’s time to wake up and rise up and “be more than beautiful”, as Lexie and Lindsay encourage.

When I was pregnant 7 years ago, 🤰🏻 I realized how much I actually did.

When I was pregnant I felt absolutely beautiful. 💕 The noise in my head about my weight stopped and obviously it wasn’t because of my weight, ✨ but because I finally saw my body as valuable for more than what it looked like.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was the first time in as long as I could remember that I stopped dieting, exercising to lose weight and focused and fully taking care of myself. 💪🏼 My body had a purpose and that purpose was bigger than any other purpose I’d previously assigned it!

After I had Olivia I vowed to do my best to keep that feeling. To see my body as a vehicle for life. ⭐️ But it was hard. Especially right afterwards. But what I did maintain was the promise I made to myself to pave the way for my daughter, my family and my community.

🔥 When my daughter was born, so was the fierce mother who refuses to sit on the sidelines and be a part of a 28 billion dollar fitness industry that constantly tries to sell us on the idea that women’s bodies are to be looked at, evaluated and objectified.

August 14 is the day I celebrate the day I was born and entered into this lifetime. On that day in 1964 my spirit entered a body and I was given an opportunity to co-create my life with other beings on this 🌏 earth.

I was thinking about all the things that would be different if I wasn’t born when, where and to the parents I chose.

All the friends, relationships, students, children and people who’s lives have crossed mine would be different.

There would be no Sophie, Stella or Olivia as they are. There would only be 10 children in my family and I wonder what difference that would have made.

As I reflect on my past and present, I’m also creating a vision for my future and intending that when I finally leave this earth, I’ll know I have left it better than I found it.

Most of us heap on guilt after something doesn’t go well, or worry about not being enough as we are. We don’t have a lot of compassion for the challenge of being human.

When you self denigrate and speak damagingly of yourself, you represent yourself as having little or no worth. You reinforce your feelings of being unworthy of respect or love. 😢

It’s heart breaking actually. 💔 When I catch myself, it makes me cry as I imagine my young girls doing the same thing.

If you become more mindful and catch yourself, you have the opportunity to interrupt it and replace it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you catch your inner critic taking over, just repeat “I am forgiven” then follow up with “What is it that I need right now?” And give yourself that. 💋

If you want a billion dollars, 💸 you have to feel worthy of a billion dollars and it starts with turning your inner critic into a worthiness warrior! It’s an inside job.
