There is one question I often ask myself in raising three girls.

“What do I think is an important habit to help my children develop, and why?”

Last night as we were reading a bedtime story, I realized what an incredible value books have been to me. My own dedication to learning is a habit that has opened my mind and helped me grow more than perhaps anything else.

I listen to at least two books a month. I listen while I workout, drive, clean the house or put away laundry. I crave the time I can do mundane things so I can get back to listening to books.

Reading feeds my intellect; I have become a better listener, a better learner and a better teacher.
